Morgan Olson unveiled their 2018 “Foundation” Food Truck walkin van body - a culmination of food truck market research gathered by Morgan Olson. In 2016, Morgan Olson held a Food Truck Symposium at their national headquarters in Sturgis, Michigan with many of the nation’s top food truck upfitters.  Various food truck upfitters provided “Voice of the customer” input and additional ideas were gathered through targeted surveys from hundreds of food truck upfitters and food truck operators across the country.

“We created the Morgan Olson FOUNDATION food truck to provide the best walk-in van body solution for the growing mobile kitchen market” shares Rich Tremmel, Morgan Olson’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Additionally, the design of the “FOUNDATION” food truck gives food truck upfitters roughly a 25% head start on building these custom kitchens into these new trucks, which saves production time with upfitters which in turn saves the food truck chef/operators money. Morgan Olson values our partnership with all food truck upfitters and food truck operators with the most durable and dependable, long-life Walk-in van body on the market today. ” Tremmel concludes.

Whether food truck upfitters or operators are looking to buy a new Morgan Olson walk-in van or convert older “experienced” walk-in vans Morgan Olson supports both of these choices. “Converting older package delivery walk-in vans is very popular too”, adds Joseph Yoon, Morgan Olson’s Director of Service Parts. “Many times these older model walk-in vans need to replace body panels, windows, or any other body part used in the original build and Morgan Olson’s service parts department is here to provide the food truck industry with complete support for both new and older walk-in vans“ shares Yoon.

Key features built into Morgan Olson’s new Foundation walk-in van body include heavy duty, reinforced steel roof beam support for various sized exhaust fans and ceiling mounted air conditioners. The entire width of the walk-in van body has been increased to 96” providing food truck operators additional “work space” in their mobile kitchens. The side-walls of the walk-in van body have received special attention with the addition of reinforced, extruded “H” beam sidewall studs (16 “ OC) featuring pre-drilled wire chase holes to help upfitters run the many wire service connections needed to power these mobile food kitchens. Completing the body package is the actual “Foundation” itself…the floor. This reinforced floor provides the platform for all the various kitchen appliances and sinks and Morgan Olson’s army of engineers created the strongest floor support design on the market making the Foundation walk-in body the ultimate food truck body on the market today.
